PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider

Be the one ready to help a fellow diver should the need arise ... become a PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider. Do you know what to do? Oxygen is a primary first aid treatment for diving-related injuries! Breathe easy – knowing that you know how to recognize illnesses treatable by emergency oxygen. Being the best buddy you can be means being prepared – especially in a time of need.

Course Prerequisites

Though suited for divers, the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider course has no prerequisites and doesn’t include dives, which means it is equally applicable to those who are around divers – boat crew, non-diving buddies, lifeguards and staff. You don’t need any previous CPR or first aid training to take the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider course.

What You Will Learn

During the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider course, you will learn to ...

• Recognize diving illnesses treatable by emergency oxygen

• Properly setup & use emergency oxygen equipment

• Administer emergency oxygen using appropriate oxygen delivery methods

• Safety considerations when handling emergency oxygen

• How to assemble and disassemble emergency oxygen equipment

Performance Requirements

PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider specialty course certification training is conducted in a classroom session with hands-on skills training. To achieve certification, you will need to:

• Read the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider manual and complete the Emergency Oxygen Provider Knowledge Review included in your manual.

• Complete the Emergency Oxygen Provider skills training conducted by a PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor.

Course Format

PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider specialty courses are typically conducted in a half-day classroom format with hands-on skills training.

Course Schedule & Cost
