PADI Tec Sidemount Instructor Course

Overview

Dive more, have more fun by teaching technical diving courses. PADI Tec Sidemount Instructor courses provide valuable teaching tips for conducting technical diving training using sidemount gear configurations during the PADI Tec Sidemount Diver course.

PADI Tec Sidemount Instructor training covers how to organize, promote and conduct the PADI Tec Sidemount technical diving course and emphasizes the value of learning to conduct technical dives in sidemount gear configurations safely & confidently.

Course Prerequisites

• PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI)

• PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Instructor or have completed PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Instructor training

• PADI Deep Diver Instructor or have completed PADI Deep Diver Instructor training

• Have a minimum of 100 logged dives, where at least 20 dives were made with enriched air nitrox, 25 dives were deeper than 18m/60ft and at least 15 dives were deeper than 30m/100ft

• PADI Tec 45 Diver(or have a qualifying certification from another training organization)

Performance Requirements

PADI Tec Sidemount Instructor course training is typically conducted with a combination of classroom sessions and practical application workshops, followed by confined water & open water training dives. To achieve PADI Tec Sidemount Instructor certification, you will need to:

• Complete the PADI Tec Sidemount Knowledge Reviews

• Successfully complete PADI Tec Sidemount Practical Application Parts One, Two & Three

• Present a knowledge development presentation from the PADI Tec Sidemount course

• Simulate teaching an in-water skill from the PADI Tec Sidemount course

Certification Requirements

Before submitting your PADI Tec Sidemount Instructor application, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be a PADI Tec Instructor (or TecRec Instructor with a higher rating)

• Be a PADI Tec Sidemount Diver (or have a qualifying certification from another training organization)

• Have logged at least 20 technical sidemount dives including l0 with three or more cylinders (two mains and at least one stage/deco cylinder)

• Have successfully ccmpleted the Tec Sidemount Instructor Training course
