PADI Yoga Diver
Yoga techniques can help you to become a better diver! The application of yoga breathing, pre-dive stretching and post-dive stretching techniques enhances your scuba diving experience through a safe and supervised introduction to these yoga techniques as applied to scuba diving.
Course Prerequisites
• PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent
• Minimum age 10
What You Will Learn
You will learn how to optimize your diving experience through specific yoga breathing techniques and pre-dive/post-dive stretching techniques and how to apply these techniques to scuba diving. This training helps to give divers tools to enhance their abilities underwater; increasing their enjoyment on every dive, including:
• Specific yoga breathing and stretching techniques
• How to apply specific yoga breathing and stretching techniques to scuba diving
• How to use specific yoga breathing and stretching techniques as tools to increase enjoyment while underwater
Performance Requirements
PADI Yoga Diver specialty course certification training is typically conducted conducted through a combination of yoga theory & practice sessions for proper breathing, pre-dive & post-dive stretching techniques and open water training dives. To achieve certification, you will need to:
• Participate in the yoga breathing & stretching training sessions and complete the Yoga Diver Knowledge Review provided by your instructor.
• Complete (3) Yoga Diver training dives with a PADI Yoga Diver Instructor.
Course Format
PADI Yoga Diver specialty courses are typically conducted over 1-1/2 days, including (2) yoga workshops conducted by a certified Yoga Instructor to develop proper breathing, pre-dive stretching and post-dive stretching techniques and (3) open water dives learning to use these techniques conducted by a PADI Yoga Diver Instructor.
